David Bowie

I was about 4 years old when I fell in love with the movie “Labyrinth” and David Bowie, and that’s how I knew him.

I didn’t know about Ziggy Stardust, or many of his amazing videos/songs. But I started getting to know and loving his music as I was growing older. In my teen years I especially loved his music from the 70s and here I’ll present few of those songs.

Winona Ryder-Beauty in all

I adore Winona since childhood. This video means a lot to me… and shows so much of who she is, and how talented she is!

True beauty, intelligence, real person-nothing fake about Winona.

And I’ll forever be grateful to her, and people who hired her for movies she’s in, because of many personal things in my life 🙂

80s – ex Yu music – part 1

I had luck to live in what used to be Yugoslavia, and it was wonderful.

“The Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (SFRY) was the Yugoslav state that existed from the second half of World War II (1943)[1] until it was formally dissolved in 1992 amid the Yugoslav Wars. It was a socialist state and a federation made up of six socialist republics: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, and Slovenia. Serbia, in addition, included two autonomous provinces of Vojvodina and Kosovo and Metohia.”

From here came so much of good music, so I thought-why not recommend to others some songs they probably didn’t hear and they might like.

I’ll post just the 80s stuff, because so much of beautiful music came out in this decade.

This is one of most popular Belgrade bands: Zana-Bar jednom nedeljno

and this is rare recording by Denis & Denis (Croatian band) “Gluhi telefoni”

Nostalgic

I was in the bus this morning looking at one old building, thinking how it makes me nostalgic, how so many different people lived there before, and in better times. Well, to me all times until about 20 years ago are better.

Many different things can make me nostalgic, like smells, music, movies, seeing some part of town that reminds me of childhood…

People were reading more to their kids, books were more normal, cartoons less aggressive, commercials were friendlier, Coca cola had normal taste…

here’s one of best old cartoons, makes you ask-Why can’t something like this be made now?

What you miss from before?
